1. How did you make the decision of the topic of your paper?
2. What was it like working on a group paper? Explain.
3. What is the most important step you need to make to allow your paper to be better?
4. Do you like the outcome of your paper? Why or why not?
1. At first when my group and I were assigned the project, we had chosen a different topic than we ended up writing our paper on. One of the members in my group had the idea and we agreed it was a good one. However, when we went to go research the topic, information was limited and we could not find many scholarly sources. Therefore, we knew we needed to choose a different topic. As we got to talking, another group member brought up the idea of writing a paper on the legalization of marijuana because it was a popular topic in the world today. When we began our research we soon found there was a lot of good information to be used in our paper.
2. Working in a group always makes me nervous because you never know who is going to actually do the work and who is going to say they’ll do the work, but then never does it. I have never been a fan of group projects because I like to have the grade of my work to be put in my own hands. Luckily, the group I was put into was hard working. Everyone in the group contributed evenly and did their part, with no complaints.
3. After reviewing our paper and getting feedback, there are still a few adjustments that need to be made. Overall, the paper came out very well and everyone in the group was very pleased. The only thing we need to work on is elaboration of our cited works, transitioning the paper better, and beefing up our conclusion.
4. I like the outcome of the paper. I think we did a good job of making everything flow together rather than it being clear that each of us wrote about a different section. Each section intermingles with the other parts of the paper. I also think our topic is very interesting, which makes it better for the person who is reading it.
