After researching and writing notes on what I would write my section of the paper on, I was finally ready to type my first draft. I was very pleased when I found out we would be changing our paper topic to the legalization of marijuana because when I went to go research the topic, I found many scholarly articles on it. Also, there were many different topics that the group could write about so it made it easier for us to each take a topic and focus on that one topic to build our paper. I am very confident that our paper is going to turn out very well. I chose to write my section on the effect of legalizing marijuana. There was a wide range of information on this because it is such a controversial subject in the United States right now. In being so, this also made our paper more effective because there is so much great information out there to inform people about the effects of legalizing marijuana.
